If I could give this facility zero stars, I would. My child was sent here. I was told it was one of the better facilities. If I did my research before hand, I would never send my worse enemy here. The place is filthy. Food smeared on the walls, inappropriate drawings all over the walls. When My child did call Me, All I could hear was kids screaming and fighting with eachother. if i could give this place a ZERO i would. i went here and hated every second of it. the staff didn’t seem to care one bit of what was going on. the environment was out of control screaming, fighting, i don’t know how anybody is suppose to get help here. staff would come in the room every 15 minutes to check on you and not say a word. you have nothing to do besides sleep or color unless you want to interact with other kids. the food literally looked like prison food. the rooms were filthy with drawings on the walls. I stayed at bournewood in 2023 I was about 14/15 yrs old , My time there wasn’t horrible but there are days I wish I could go back , I felt safe , I was entertained the only flaw was There was a lady who would come talk to us everyday once a day , separately , My first day there I was speaking to her and Obviously I wasn’t gonna be 100% okay to speak but .. it was forced so during this conversation we began to speak about me wanting to go home and how I felt and she asked me how I was feeling and like most people my age I sa... read more

Let me start by saying, this place is a waste of time. They’ll kick your child out if there’s an insurance issue , fail to follow through, then file a 51a to cover their tracks. Do yourself a favor, do your child a favor and send them somewhere else! It doesn’t even look like they clean the place. It’s filthy. Liquid drips on the wall, stained furniture, just dirty. Who files a 51a then sends the child to the accused “abuser” 🤡
