best of the best – my friends and i became a huge fan of this little korean restaurant temple. it was smaller than i expected it to be but this place is beautiful, romantic, and very very delicious. if you are craving great korean food with beautiful atmosphere, temple is definately recommanded! and i have to say the owners are seriously hot!!
A Must – Passed by this cute restaurant numerous times before I finally walked in one day. First of all, prices were great. Am I in NYC? Secondly, service was unbelievable. Again, am I in NYC? The owner who also staffs the dining room was more than helpful in choosing the perfect dish for my appetite. Since then I dine @ KTC several times a month. Although, I would recommend that you make a reservation, if for dinner since it gets crowded. It does get crowded but hey, who wants to dine @ an emtpy restaurant on a Friday night... read more
My birthday party – I've gone 3 times and last week, I decided to have my birthday party there on Monday. It was a pleasant experience. It was 16 of us, and the manager made it very private, and wonderful. What a great restaurant! Thanks everyone at Temple!!!
WONDERFUL – Not only the food, but the service could not be better. Eventhough the space is tiny, it actually is cute and comfortable. The food is the best Korean I have had. The owner is very nice and will go out of her way to make sure you have an enjoyable experience. Try it out!!
Lovley little place – My Korean girlfriend and I ate here a few months ago after reading the NYT review. We were very impressed. I am very new to Korean cuisine but needless to say my girlfriend is not. She loved the food. She said it was among the best Korean she's had outside of Korea. Pretty high praise. I found everything deliciously tasty and good portion sizes. Service is attentive. It better be..this place is TINY! Seriously, this place is REALLY REALLY small. But do yourself a favor if you love Korean food (even if y... read more
Solid Korean food with good service – Great service made our experience at Temple pretty amazing. The setting was very intimate (candles, flowers, nicely lit), and my girlfriend and I felt that we were treated really well here. The food was excellent and the panchan were FRESH. Cucumber soju cocktail knocked me out! We will definitely go again.
Fantastic Food on St Marks Pl. – If you are looking for a great spot to bring a date or some friends... If you want really good, satifying food but don't want to worry about bouncing your rent check this month... check out Temple Korean Restaurant on St Marks & First Ave. I've visited a few times and the traditional dishes are just as great as the more creative ones. Wine and soju cocktails are a great compliment to the dishes. Good looking yet knowledgable staff - nice surprise! The owner/chef is always there - which is a r... read more
Warm and inviting – This tiny little place has a huge heart. The staff have always treated us warmly and with keen attention. There's nothing quite like a bowl of their steaming kimchee soup to get you through a cold night. The kitchen consistently turns out well-executed dishes at very reasonable prices. This place gets a star for value.
Delightfully warm winter food. – My girlfriend and I (we live uptown) were wandering around the East Village looking for a place to eat, and after peeking into Temple's window we decided to give it a try. Serendipity!! Great, reasonably priced Korean food (she had the seafood casserole, and I, the pork bulgogi), and the spices warm you up for a winter walk. Excellent, accomodating, friendly service as well. The only drawback is that we don't live around the corner --- if we did, we'd be there every other night...
