Dirk Graham has always been a fan of pizza. During the 1980s, ?Dirk traveled around the city of Richmond and surrounding areas in hopes of finding a great pizza. Frustrated by his search, Dirk turned to his friend, Fabian Botto, a restauranteur, who was known for his quality cuisine. Fabian soon became Dirk?s mentor and taught him the secrets to making his specialty crust and sauces. GettingTooCoolForOwnGood – Bottom's Up may be catering to the hip crowd to a fault. The restaurant advertises free delivery, yet I have tried to get food delivered many times. Sometimes, though very rarely, I get food delivered. The majority of the time I play phone tag while many employees try and talk me out of getting delivery. Sometimes they say I'm out of territory, sometimes they say it will be two hours. I just know they don't want my business. The Bottom of the Heap – Pizza is way overrated and the service is truely the worst in Richmond. Avoid, unless you like being ignored.
A Richmond tradition – There's nothing better than hanging out at Bottoms Up on a warm summer night, munching a huge slice of pizza and listening to trains rumble overhead. Granted, the restaurant gets crowded and service can be inconsistent, but prices are reasonable and the scene is unforgettable.
