Great Concept!!! – My wife and I recentley went to this place and was very suprised with the selection of their many wines and competative prices. The owner of Bottle Rock, Nino, was very busy overlooking his bar but took the time out to come over, introduce himself and make a suggestion of wines to pair with our favorite cheeses. The layout was charming, service was great and the food and wine were excellent!
great decor, great wines, great service – I recently went to BottleRock and had a great time! Everyone was very cordial. Because of the catering business my wife and I had for 15 years, we have eaten and partaken of wine in some of the best restaurants in France as well as Los Angeles. For example, we?ve drunk some fantastic St. Emilion in the town of St. Emilion. At BottleRock we had the pleasure of being helped by the manager Nino, who is one of the most knowledgeable wine experts I have ever met. His ability to describe w... read more
I liked it! – My girlfriend and I went to BottleRock last night after dinner for a couple of drinks. It was extremely busy but the wait wasn't too bad. We waited by the door with a glass of wine and when we were seated, we were greeted by our server and got started. The cheese menu was amazing, perfectly paired with our Pinot's. The crowd was cool and the music was great. A wine bar playing rock? Who knew? The staff was knowledgeable and our waiter Todd was real cool. Check this place out and have a few.
An Illusion – I was looking forward to having a wine bar in the center of town. After my first disappointing experience, and giving the benefit of the doubt to the staff and their hospitality, I must say that I am still disappointed. Bottle Rock has a wide variety of quality wine, but we were treated poorly each time we went there; to drink a glass and to purchase bottles. The staff acts as if we are doing them a favor by giving them business. They are not warm nor hospitable. It is a shame to know there is such a noticeable... read more
culver city's hot new place – We went to bottle rock few nights ago with my girlfriends for the first time.Although they were quite busy,we put our name on the waiting list and got seated within twenty minutes.Let me tell you this place rocks, with wines and food and the hippest music on the background.I am a certified sommelier myself and was very impressed with the gentleman who waited on us.I asked a zillion questions about wine and food, his response was prompt and on the ball.Bottlerock's wine prices are hard to beat as w... read more
Great Wines – The wine is great and the food is great. I think it depends on what time of the day you come in regarding service, especially on a Saturday afternoon the service is a little lackadaisical. During the evenings the waiters are more attentive and knowledgeable about the wines. They advertise a wine tasting on Saturdays from 12 to 4pm for ten bucks, but every time I have shown up for it they are never having it! The alternative that is offered is a wine flight that cost about eight dollars more. It feels like a bit... read more
Cool wine bar – i took my fiancee last night at bottlerock for the first time and they were super busy.We got seated in the patio by the heater and had few glasses of different wines per our server nino's suggestion.i have to say this is the best place for wines by far and they have great glasses to go with the wines.first wine we had was blue rock cabernet, which was delicious and very hard to find in restaurants. The second wine was selene merlot which was a big bordeaux style and very complex. We had a great time and we shal... read more
bottlerock is the best wine bar in the us by far – We went to bottlerock last night with a group of friends and let me tell you this place rocks from wines to service. We read several reviews about this place on the internet and saw the article on los angeles magazine so we decided to give this place a shot.We were waited by nino who manages the place and suggested two great bottles of cab and sold a bottle to take home as well.We love this place, the concept behind it and above all love him for his funny wine humor and his su... read more
wine bar with style – We went to bottlerock last night with a group of friends and had a great time.Although they were super busy we still got great wines and impeccable service by nino who is a star of bottlerock. We got seated in the patio and it was super windy and cold but the wines we drank made up the warmth and service by nino was flawless. We had three bottles of wines per nino's suggestion and a cheese plate which was superb. My only complain is not enough heat lamps for a cold night in the patio. We shall return soon a... read more
