Avoid them now or pay for it later They messed up my 2008 taxes by over $20,000, a mistake I had discovered when comparing my 2009 return with my 2008 return. I had to file an adjusted 2008 return, which they did for free and as a result I am paying the federal and state revenue departments over $6,000 in taxes, fees and penalties. You would think a CPA firm would not make such a blatant error or at least insure against it. H&R Block does insure against it and my 2010 return cost me $50 less.
