We went to the supposedly new and improved Boston fish house....guess what it wasn't improved. It lost it's character and charm from before and added uncomfortable chairs and that all to generic Florida look. While the food was not bad it just does not compare to the old Boston's..... kind of like your Aunt cooking your Moms recipe. Also lower quality seafood no steamers at all and much less choices and a steeper price. Sometimes change is not for the better.
The food quality has dropped, the portions have decreased drastically but the prices have increased. We won't be back to the fish house!! I guess we will start going back to the original fish house on aloma in winter park!!!
It's a shame. This place used to be great. The change in ownership has been a huge downgrade. The menu is limited and inflexible. The seafood quality has dropped a very long way, the atmosphere has gone and it's just no longer fun. I used to rate it a consistent 5 stars. Now I am torn between 1 and 2 and it's a 1.5 at best. There is an opening once more for a real New England seafood experience in Volusia County, because this isn't it...

Caryl Mason was terminated from Boston's Fish House for poor job performance. We're saddened that she has taken to slandering the restaurant in her frustration and attempting to hurt not only the business, but the hardworking employees and managers who are themselves New Smyrna Beach locals. Great food, service was excellent. Always our favorite when we are at the beach!
what happened to this place? It lost it's New England atmosphere. We went on a Friday night with a party of 10 and to our surprise we did not have to wait to be seated. We ate here alot before new owners. First no ice with water. The food was terrible. Smaller portions and higher prices. They use to close between 3 and 4 to change oil in fryer which they don't do now and is very obvious. They use to fly seafood in from New England daily but now a couple times per week. Great food and staff! Love the atmosphere and friendly staff! Heard that they are getting remodeled!!! Can't wait to see the changes!!
This place stinks and you pay first, blacked shrimp on salad and Small bowl of lobster bisque 41.00 and it is terrible, don't waste your money on this tourist trap!!!
