Awful experience! Signed up 3 years ago, then moved out of area 2 years ago. Notified club one month in advance, in writing, about stopping membership. Also called. They continued to bill my husband’s credit card for months! We called them (totally unhelpful), called the bank and finally stopped payments 3 months ago. I just received a @courtesy call from them that they are sending account to collections! What the h..l is this?? Hundreds of $$ wasted, and terrible customer service!!
Not only has BSC been charging my credit card for the last 6 months for a membership that I cancelled MULTIPLE times, but I called and spoke with the general manager the last time and she promised I would be refunded these membership fees and the membership would be cancelled. I was charged AGAIN this month. What kind of racket is BSC running? How am I supposed to have this cancelled and refunded? I have spent many calls trying to rectify this situation, so apparently social media is now my only other option. Unacceptable.
Stop billing customers after they cancel
Don't give your credit card - they'll never take it off! I signed up for a student membership during a seasonal summer deal for $29/month. I later called to cancel my membership in October and was assured I was "all set." Now, in late March, I have had to cancel my credit card because BSC has been non-responsive and has never returned my call when explaining my account. This happened to my roommate as well. Just woke up at 5 am to use the gym at it’s convenient time since I teach and low and behold someone has yet to open it! I have arrived at 5:20 thinking it’d be open 20 minutes past it’s open time. It’s 21 degrees outside and there are people waiting in the bitter cold. I’d love to say this is the first time but it’s happened a couple times now since I’ve been going there. Only reason I still do is that it’s the cheapest option at 49.99 a month and there’s no World’s or Planet Fitness close by. Come on BSC! Get it together.
