I am so thankful that we found Boston Heights Veterinary Hospital (through a referral/friend). Our poor pup was getting the run around with his leg injury and after 2 months, it was determined he needed ACL surgery. The quote they gave us was outrageous. And they wouldn’t even work with our dog without muzzling him, which made an already high-anxiety pup, even more anxious. Love the family feel you get when you walk through the door from the front desk right on down to the doctors! We took our dog here for a second opinion after a $6000 surgery quote. Our bill wasn't even a 6th of that! Dr. Thorson is an honest and caring doctor. You can tell he is not out to make a quick dollar like some other local vets I've been too! I have found our vet!
Our dog Hugo was neutered on 5/22/17 by Dr. Thorson. We were not informed at the time we scheduled the appt that he would have to spend the night. When we dropped him off for surgery I asked when I could pick him up and at that time they told me he'd have to spend the night. I had not brought his food - he is on a special diet - and was uncomfortable with him staying in a kennel as we have never crated him. Very nice doctor I have lived here 20 plus years and never knew they were there. I am glad he is part of the spaying and neutering program so my dog will be fixed soon
Well, the wait was extremely long...... Not sure why but it would be nice to have been told when I arrived that it was over a 45 minute wait / running late.
There is no vet in the world more compassionate and more competent than Glenn Thorson. He will always put the needs of your animal ahead of anything else, including making money by doing unnecessary tests etc. He is a throwback to an older age. And business manager Jeff Goldstein is a mensch. I cannot tell you how much they have helped me, even when they stand to not make a penny. The rest of the staff--Kathy, Brittney and others-- is also fantastic. I travel 45 minutes with my babies just to see Dr. Thorson because I trust ... read more
