I visited Borrmann’s Steel this morning, a place where I’ve bought metal supplies several times before — always with superb experiences in the past. After checking in, I selected three pieces — two from the scrap section and one 10-foot piece of steel. At the office, I was quoted about $165, but they couldn’t process Apple Pay. I work at SLAC and have ordered from R.E. Borrmann Steel a handful of times in the last 15 years but I always place my orders over the phone. Today I purchased some steel for a home project and decided to swing by their shop. I briefly explained my project to the team at Borrmann Steel and they went out of their way to be helpful. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff whether novice or pro. I was pleasantly surprised to find they had gone above and beyond in finding where I missed one material which they did not have while I was browsing around. I feel that is one of those indicators which shows a lot about how a business conducts a variety aspects in the relationships they maintain with their clients. There also seems to be a significant array of product available 🤘 Jackpot find.
