We hired a night nurse two nights a week and we specifically said our baby would need to be held and was not a good sleeper, hence why we needed a night nurse. He would not be sleeping much at all at night realistically. This was agreed to prior to signing the contract. I highly recommend a prenatal consultation with Emily. She is easy to talk to and full of helpful information. This is our second baby but it was so helpful to understand what went sideways the first time around and we feel so much more prepared after meeting with her. You can tell Emily loves what she does and I have so much peace knowing the Bornwell team offers home visits for lactation support.
I was instantly comfortable with Meredith Kennedy. She was able to ease my anxiety about my milk production and come up with a plan to help my son gain weight and stock up for when I return to work. Highly recommend Bornwell if you’re struggling with breastfeeding.
I can’t say enough good things about Bornwell and working with Emily. I came to her as I approached having my second baby since I had major supply issues with my first that no one was able to help me figure out (I wish I knew about Emily then!). Someone pointed me to work with Emily and I met with her probably 4 times and she was encouraging, informative, and gave me all the tools I needed. We recently completed the newborn course, and it was an excellent experience. Carson was a great teacher, knowledgeable, patient, and engaging. The course covered everything from the delivery process to the first days at home, which gave us a well-rounded understanding of what to expect. We especially appreciated the hands-on learning. We practiced changing diapers and swaddling a baby, which made us feel more prepared and less nervous about handling those first few days.
