I like da food, they moved to belmont by laramie, i have been to the new location 3 times and confirmed the service sucks, food is good, ala cart service sucks. Rather hit a borinquen shack and get better service.
Borinquen Restaurant that has been on Central Ave for years moved to it's new location on Belmont Ave near laramie. I was there on Sunday, Sept 28, 2014 and really was rather excited to see the new place. When we entered, the set up was different, they now had a hostess greeting you and seating you which was different but a nice change from the crowds that used to develop on Central ave location. Absolutely delicious. Service is fast. Usually carry-outs for us.
They've recently moved to 5249 W. Belmont and it's SUPERB! For under $25 two people can eat Jibaritos, your choice of rice and beans or arroz con gandules, one appetizer and a beverage. Great deal! Great food! The wait staff was excellent! Very attentive and professional....definitely a step up from the Central Av. location.
Everything was soooo damn good!!!
