Border Cafe serves the best margaritas in town. Maybe that is why patrons do not seem to mind the wait that is often well over an hour on weekends. There is an enthusiastic atmosphere at the restaurant, since many of the diners are college students and exuberant tourists. Favorites include zesty, fizzling Fajitas and Popcorn Shrimp. This is a good choice for a large party.

Highly average gringo mex and cajun food. Always a line outside of zapped tourists and palate-challenged college kids, waiting for up to an hour to get trashed on industrial-grade margaritas. Cannot for the life of me understand why it's popular when there are so many better places to get trashed in Cambridge.
fun place, even with the stink – loved hanging out at this place during college. it's a great spot to guzzle a margarita and down some chips, always fresh and hot with great spicy salsa. always a wait during prime time. only thing about this place is when you go home, you're going to smell like the border for the rest of the night--you know, that greasy tortilla smell? get used to it, or wear clothes you don't mind stinking up. it's worth it!
Great Food, Great Atmosphere – This place is absolutely great. The food is great and inexpensive, and the margaritas are out of this world. I love the atmosphere. It's really upbeat. If you are ready for a great time, just come here. I went here for a first date and we both loved it. The only downfall is we couldn't hear each other talk because it was so loud. So maybe for a first date, this wouldn't be so great, but if you already know someone, come on down and enjoy the music, food and atmosphere!
Eat here senior! – Nice place! Food is very good. excellent selection of Mexican style dishes. Well prepared. You will wait at peak times but the place can be fun and the service is pretty good. Everything on the menu is good. If you like it hot you can get it hot!
Horrible drinks, terrible food – This place had the worst margarita I've had since I went to Chili's in a MN airport...it was probably made the same way. It's not made from fresh lime juice, that's for sure, and they have no idea that there is such a thing as good tequila. The food is just above cafeteria-grade. The only explanation I can give for all the positive reviews is that they were made by ignorant college students, who are clearly 99% of their clientele, the rest having been suckered in by the positive reviews.
