Stopped in looking at possibly buying a cowboy hat. There were two women at the counter talking when I walked in. Not a welcome in or anything like I always get at Big R. I looked for about 10 minutes and no one offered to help me. Store was empty so it's not like they were helping others. They did seem to have a good selection of hats though and a very big section of boots.

The staff here were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Just by sight they could tell the shape and fit of boot my partner and I would need. They took the time trying plenty of options until we’d both found the perfect pair and talked us through proper boot care as well. There are hundreds of styles to choose from, and very fairly priced. It was hard to limit myself to just one pair!

I am aware that employees need to monitor theft behaviors and help potential customers but it is very off-putting when employees pretend they need to walk right where you are to “get somewhere” just to see what you’re doing, and say “excuse me I just need to get right here..” but then they end up going somewhere they could have gotten to another way (I hope this makes sense.) I was going to buy something, but I felt uncomfortable and left because this kept happening to us and ruined the experience.

We stopped in to buy a mens belt, black felt hat, dress shirt, vest. Older lady and younger girl were more interested in talking about the younger girls social life. When I asked specifically for the items we were looking for the younger pointed in the general direction then continued her conversation about her personal life. Boot Barn you can do better! This represents zero customer service skills. We took our business elsewhere.
