Recently got a hospital bill sent to collections THAT I WAS PAYING MONTHLY ON. Absolutely ludicrous. Will try my hardest to never go back there.
My 82 year old mother, had her second surgery here in two months. She is doing well and the surgeons here are amazing. I highly recommend this hospital, surgeons, nurses and staff. It has been a good experience, in a bad situation.
Given a choice, I'll choose University hospital over Boone hospital. Sadly, my insurance currently dictates my options.
I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to all who have been involved in taking care of my wife. The compassion and consideration shown not only to my wife, but the family as well, went far above the norm. You all have been a blessing through some very troubling times. Thank you again for being the way you are.

Through the storm of pain, fear, confusion and anxiety during my kidney surgery this week the staff of Boone Hospital Center gave me shelter. The sincerity in their mission and the warmth of their touch will never be forgotten and forever appreciated. 5th floor is staffed by angels.
The emergency room at Boone is a tragic joke anymore. The nurses and staff are so unprofessional. Sat and watched a brunette nurse talk and laugh to other staff about patients after they left. You’re in this field of work why? If I hadn’t already waited 3 hours I would’ve also walked out. Just truly sad the kind of people that are “caring” for our public these days.
