Both my husband and I had shoulder surgeries done with this Dr. He did a fantastic job. He is highly intelligent and skilled as a doctor and surgeon. I believe that is the most important quality a doctor needs to have when providing care to an injury. He is not a therapist and is not trying to provide that service to patients. Dr does have what I would call a clinical personality. He is not a cold person but he does have a detached demeanor which allows him to do his job and operate on people. First they had Zero protocol for Covid !! I called about the office about seeing me for a follow up on a clavicle surgery I had in Florida while on vacation. I had asked if he would do my follow up check since I had had surgery by another orthopedic. They assured me that he would see me. I went to see Dr Bonnarens for a sports injury that my son received. When we arrived at 4001 Kresge Way, Suite 330, Louisville, Kentucky 40207. The receptionist checked us in and took our payments. They were very professional and kind. She guided us to the room that we would be in to see the doctor. When the doctor walked in I was washing my daughter's hands. He had a look of shock on his face.
