I love a good auction and this was great. I bought something where I just left a bid and surprise I won ! So cool. The staff on the phone and in person were delightful. I also asked to try on a ring and sure enough Nicole brought it done and I tried it on and she knew the materials and everything. I love that kind of assistance. Free parking and the guy helped get me a box to put my loot in. So easy
I recently purchased with their on-line auction and the staff was so very helpful and prompt, that is until after I made the payment and wanted to wrap up the sale. I had sent my ID to them prior to payment which they required and still received a call asking for my ID. I informed them I had sent it to which they said they would check and get back to me. A week later no call back, contacted other departments emails I had and email of the person that called me. No response, I feel like I am being ghosted.
Never ever consign with these people. They will undervalue your item, hold an online “auction” that they never market or promote. Then purchase your item themselves for less than $200 and give you $80 for $3000-$5000 pieces. Probably sell it to a private buyer for 50x the price. It seemed all was good, when I asked for an extension. They nicely accepted the first $1000, then started, on and on, threatening what they would, to get the rest, or another $1000, before they could. Then they got mean, like a thug trying to collect from another neighborhood, badgering a client, who has nothing for him, furious, barking that I should.
