KC was my server today, and he was fabulous. His recommendation of the Cinnamon Roll was spot on. They have a terrific view and its great to people watch. I recommend the Mac Nut Pancakes! They also have coconut syrup! KC tells some great tales especially about jumping off cliffs. In the meantime, Bongo's is my number one spot for breakfast in Kona. You will never go wrong, large menu, excellent service, and when you return year after year, KC remembers you.

Loved the Mai Tais, pork chops, Ahi, and the Kona Mud Pie Sundae - a knockout! :-) Saw so many delicious things on the menu, we're definitely coming back to try everything. The best part of Bongo Ben's are the people who work here. Today we met Mufferty (hope I spelled that right), he took such wonderful care of us! Big Mahalo, we'll see you again soon!

This place has such great potential. I'm afraid that being located where they are, they just don't need to try. Bringing in off island fruit? Silly. Why in the world would they serve unripe melon and pineapple from California, or wherever? The omelet was lacking in cheese, and watery, though the flavor was good. They didn't have avocado, again, silly, as they grow right up the street. The potatoes were almost cooked, lazily done. The gluten free bread is delicious, if they have it - consistency was lacking. Great bacon.
