Went to Bonefish in Greenville NC last night with old neighbors. Started out with Bang Bang Shrimp appetizers which are always great! I am sorry to say it went down hill from there. Two of us got fish and chips. Really large portions but the fish was soggy and real disappointing. It lacked taste. The biggest let down was my wife’s Pad Thai. Fantastic service! Our server allowed us time to chat, yet was attentive to our needs. Manager was professional, attentive, and friendly.
My "meal" included a house salad, which ONLY came when I requested it AFTER my meal came. My meal were the scallops over seasonal veggies. Seasonal veggies, or rather the ONLY thing on my plate besides FIVE scallops were some warmed, chopped tomatoes. It is January! They're no where in season currently! And I wouldn't describe a few chopped tomatoes as a "bed of seasonal veggies"..... AND we had to pay an Upcharge for my salad that was served very late AND consisted of 95% chunks of lettuce! The service was great! When I received five scallops for $22 I was very unhappy. Had to stop and get something to eat on the way home. Will not go there again. No value for the money!
We all loved the bang bang shrimp!! Of course!! Everything we ate was good!
