My husband & I were very pleased with the Doctor went thru all our questions and took his time with our apt.
I was called in right on time and the Dr came in right after. My issue was taken care of very quickly.
He was very good at explaining the issue and the treatments.
My first interaction with the physical therapist Lori was awful. She was rude and condescending from the start! The only reason I stayed was because she mentioned she was going to be out for two weeks. I gave her some grace and thought maybe she was burnt out and just needed some time off. Boy was I wrong! When she returned she had the same attitude. I walked out and have sought better care! I regret not doing so sooner.
Please do your due diligence before getting surgery with Schmitt. I would give this zero stars if I could! I am about 20 months post-op from a birmingham hip, have needed to get a second opinion and two other surgical procedures because Dr. Schmitt releases me from his care when he found out I had an ossification (calcium build up mist likely) that he did not treat for. I have never had a doctor release me from his care in my entire life. I hope this helps someone else, because I am worse than before the hip replacement. I s... read more
