I’ve been to bonchon in Virginia years ago and I used to go all the time so I know bonchon is amazing! However this location isn’t. Our order was wrong , they ran out of radish (never heard of that before) the radish wasn’t even cold.. our receipt to sign was balled up because someone accidentally threw it out..after she asked us if she gave it to us.. my boyfriend had to ask for his food to be handed over to us because it was sitting in the window.. when I asked the guy for a empty second bowl to split my radish with my boy... read more
I left disappointed and hungry. The first thing that hit me when we entered was the smell of frying oil. Not a good sign. The second was the loud music, for a different audience. A couple were eating at one table, three people were at the counter. We were directed to sit where we wanted. The waitress said just let her know when we were ready to order - took at least 5 minutes to get her attention. We ordered Bibimbop and japchae. Very bad service I waited a long time for some wings very bad
I’m so happy I gave this place a shot. I am not a huge fan of friend food. But super surprised with how tasty the chicken that Bonchon serves tasted. Also, amazed at how large the drumsticks are. I had a trio and couldn’t get through them all. They were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The Yangyeom sauce that they came battered in was superb, a good mix of sweet and spicy.
