I went in the ER due to a boating accident. I was slammed up in the air when our boat hit a wake running 55mph. We were deep sea fishing on the way home My face landed on the side of the. boat CT results showed I had broken my cheek bone. I am a type I diabetic and on a blood thinner. The ER physician did not seem concerned. I had to ask for the CT. He was more concerned about my medication list not the blood thinner or that I was knocked out momentarily. I took my daughter to the hospital in Franklin va. They was so disrespectful and rude to me. The nurses in there was getting loud at me talking about I’m going to be able to stay with my daughter bc I have a question all night long almost everybody that came up here last night had to fuss with 1 or 2 nurses smh. And that’s not right at all. Next time I’m going to Pass right by Franklin hospital and go to Suffolk They need no stars for what I went through lastnight
This Particular Orthopedic Surgeon preferred SMH, so there wasn't a choice. There are too many reasons to list why I would not go there again for anything, but the hospital was a -10.
RecommendedMy first time there was June 1 for revision knee. My nurses, staff and doctor was amazing. I had to return July 10 for an unexpected place on my leg and again - amazing nurses, staff and doctor. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!! I did have some of the nurses in tears the last time as I also had to put my dog down on same day. Sorry about that but they were so compassionate with my feelings. When they called my husband - per my request - they even asked if everything went ok with my dog. Great experience but I hope I don’t have to visit agai... read more

sloooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww as molasses. Dr. Clark is very nice and personable, though. The ER is extremely slow for a hospital w barely anyone there. I literally pulled my own IV out and walked out after asking twice can I be discharged because of the very long wait. No one even noticed.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Southampton Memorial!! I give all of you 5+++ stars.. Thank you to check in staff and thank you to the nurse that gave me the Tetanus Shot... I did not feel a thing!!
Southampton Memorial Hospital staff could not have been more compassionate to our family during this very difficult time due to the CDC virus restrictions. The Doctors stayed in touch with us, and the nurses took the time to help us talk to our father during his time in the hospital, as well as held his hand for us, and cried with us. We will forever be grateful to all the staff who were a part of our father's healthcare team.
