Very kind and nice
The head of radiation (Michael) is really weird at this facility. I was to receive radiation treatments at 3:00 each day for 5 days, then he scolded me when I got there at 2:50 and said I needed to be there at 2:45 from now on. Then the doctor called and I thought we were heading in the right direction. Wrong! A nurse called and said I can transport with a shuttle and I have 8 sessions left. What the hell! I didn't need a shuttle and I only had one session left. The guys are soooooooooo unorganized!!!
Had an infusion yesterday. The whole process was smooth and relatively painless. The staff was awesome and did a great job keeping me informed and updated on the progress. They checked on me often to make sure I was comfortable and had what I needed. Special shout out to RN Brandi for her awesome care! St Francis is the best!
Please don't bother going if you avoid it. My mom was a patient for months and they kept taking blood test after blood test without offering any explanation/treatment options- just kept taking blood work and telling her to eat more iron. After talking to the nurse, her exact words were "their was nothing else we can do" after asking her what the exact plan here for my mom after wasting months just taking CBC panals.
