My wife and I ate lunch here yesterday. We have been in the area for a week and had not yet had any decent seafood. This place was suggested to us and we're glad we went. We both had oyster poorboy's and a nice cold beer. The reason we withheld one star is because we did not sample all the other varieties of food they serve, but we were very happy with the poorboy's. We stopped in while visiting from Lafayette. Great po boys and good gumbo. Stop by if you're in the area.
Gumbo is good , ordered fried catfish and shrimp hardly no fish or shrimp the fish dinner was about a fourth of a fish cut in four pieces almost all crust called and complained they said owner would call me NO return call
This is truly a great place to eat. Excellent food, atmosphere and price. These small, local places, always seem to be the best. I would recommend this place to anyone.
I had been looking forward to trying Bon Creole to sample their heralded shrimp po-boys etc. So today we went for lunch. 1st major disappointment was on Sundays they do not serve their regular menu....so not shrimp plates or po-boys...........BBQ plates only. So we decided to try the BBQ .....huge mistake.......brisket, rice dressing beans and roll served cold....not hot, not warm, not cool.......but cold....probably our first and last visit....Whatever you do, don't go on Sunday.
