I was lucky enough to have a 2-hour makeup lesson with Bettie Sheffler on Friday, December 19, 2025. The makeup lesson itself was magnificient, and I learned more in that 2 hours than I have learned in the previous 3 years that I have been dressing en femme. On top of that, Bettie made the excellent suggestion that I capture the entire experience on video, so I now have 2 hours of personalized tutorials to help me improve my skills. I had a makeup lesson with Bettie yesterday! I was pretty nervous to go in but she was incredibly patient and explained everything step-by-step, from products to techniques. Other makeup artists have had a really hard time color matching me and/or going too dark or bold so I end up removing the makeup when I get home. Bettie matched me perfectly and helped create the look I was going for. The makeup lasted all day and I felt so confident when I attended an event last night! First, the salon is charmingly beautiful and welcoming. And even better, Bettie is incredibly talented professional who both listens and offers mindful, expert advice on hair and skin care. And best of all, as someone with super thin, straight hair, I am amazed at how Bettie is able to get so much volume and texture into my hair with her cuts. I’ve been several times now, and my cuts are always just the right mix of unfussy, sassy, easy to style, and last 7-8 weeks.
David is so welcoming and talented! I've been coming to him over a year now with the craziest color requests and he always nails it, perfect amazing results every time! I get soo many compliments
