I have lived here over 20 years, and the management has always been decent, until the last several years. A maintenance worker took over and decided to manage the place, ran it into the ground, and has decided to drop everything and leave. While he managed the place there was absolutely no one to report tenant problems to, he chose which problems he felt like addressing and nothing ever got done. I love the park like setting and the peace and quiet. The laundry facilities are kept functioning, the pool (when open) is cool and wet in the summer, and the diversity of the neighbors means you can find friends. It was the ONLY affordable option close to UNC, and Chapel Hill is so wonderful.
Safe & quiet, right on the bus line and really close to Umstead Park and creekside walking trails. Has a pool and laundry room but I don't use either of them. Diverse mix of residents from singles to young families to retirees from all over the place.
I have lived here over 20 years. It used to be a great place to live until three years ago, when a maintenance worker took over and decided not to manage the place except for plumbing problems and whatever problems he decided to take on. It has become public housing style living, absolutely no ordinance, an the maintenance guy moved his entire extended family into the area.
