Boleslav Kotlyar, MD was born in Kiev, Ukraine and emigrated to the US in 1993. He attended Stuyvesant High School, followed by New York University (2003-2006) for undergraduate studies, completing his degree in three years cum laude with a major in Biology and a minor in History. Dr. Kotlyar gained and interest in retina after working for a retina practice in Brooklyn as head ophthalmic technician and photographer for three years. This experience inspired him to study medicine at SUNY Buffalo from 2009–2013.

I have been a patient of dr. Kotlyar for a few years and after my husband got very scared review of his eyes from other doctor I introduced him to this office. My husband now has an excellent care. Dr Kotlyar an excellent, professional, knowledgeable, understanding and compassionate. Office was beautiful and staff excellent in every way. We will continue coming here and recommend this office.
The professionalism of the doctor and staff is unsurpassed. I received the most caring and thorough examination I never imagined. Beyond organized and efficient, I came away very confident about my eye health. A truly remarkable group.
