I don’t typically write reviews, but I was treated rudely and unfairly at Bokoo Bikes in Chanhassen, never feeling like I was the customer. I felt compelled to write this review as I’m hoping to help others avoid a frustrating buying experience at Bokoo and to provide two better local options - Tonka Cycle in Hopkins and Erik’s Bikeshop in Eden Prairie. Walked in today with my 8 and 11 year old. We were told that only 2 members from one family are allowed in at a time. I was prepared to purchase 3 bikes today. We left and went on to Erik's bike shop in Eden Prairie. Great experience at Erik's and we have 3 new bikes!
RecommendedI always have had a great experience with Bokoo. I have 3 Giants from this store. Ed and Kelly are great owner and awesome to their amazing employees.
Bought a bike earlier this summer from Bokoo and have loved it, but it has had perpetual issues with items that should have been checked and verified prior to purchase. It doesn't help that a warranty claim has had to be made at this point, but having shifters not hit all the gears right out of the gate, brakes/shifters/etc on the handles being rotated to the most awkward casual angle on an aggressive mountain bike frame, and other loose parts that I've had to tighten myself makes me feel like there isn't much attention to d... read more
I was in the shop today and was helped by Brian. He was extremely courteous and professional. He went out of his way to help above and beyond what I would have expected. I would recommend soliciting Brian's help with service or anything else bike related.
