Very Pleased! We were new to the area and our 10 year old Lab was having problems walking plus he needed his regular check up. We were pleasantly surprised and well-pleased with the service we received. We were not rushed or made to feel that we were being overly cautious. Common Sense, Thorough, BUSY PRO- wonderful, most caring vets, don't talk down or judmentally, explain treatment options thoroughly.These vets work themselves to the bone , so I can see how they decided to start recommending ER vet for off hours. CON- have grown so busy over the past few years that it is different than before- much harder to get appt. when you want it. World Class Care Dr. Rockwell and Dr. Shong are the two best Vets that I have ever experienced. Their care and advice have been outstanding. We had a difficult case with allergies for our Keeshond and they were always their when we needed them. We recently moved 45 minutes away but still drive to their clinic. I wish the medical profession for people was as caring and dedicated as we have found at Bohicket Vet. I can recommend this clinic without reservation.
not trust worthy i was some what new to the west ashley area and i needed a vet for my 2 yr old lab. I am not new to animal clinics however, i have worked in one for 2 years previously. i understand how the business works and they highly rely on medications. I know for a fact that animal clinics hate other businesses such as 1800 pet meds, but i didnt know that some( this one in perticular) cross the line. Sadly Bohicket has changed 7 years ago I interviewed a number of vets to find the best. Shong was it, no doubt. Not as sure about his partner, and you dont get to choose. In the years since, they have grown too busy - their service is up and down. Yes, they recently saved my dog's life. But - they missed a critical diagnosis in addition to the one they corrected. After $5000, my dog is being undergoing entirely new testing by another vet. They care, they try, but they are far too overstretched to be effective, which results ... read more
Excellent veterinarian The attention and care our dogs received by Dr. Rockwell was excellent. She takes her time, listens to her patients and is very thorough in her examination and treatment. We highly recommend her.
We were disappointed! We had been regular clients for several years, mostly because of their promise to take care of any emergencies. We called 2 days before they closed for the Christmas holiday during regular business hours and were told that they were too busy to see our critically-ill poodle either during business hours or after-hours because they were too busy. terrific! When my dog had a severe allergic reaction after my house was exterminated last year, Bohicket was the only vet I called that would fit her in. They worked her in right away, thankfully, because she was having serious breathing problems. The doctors are very knowledgeable and you can tell they truly love animals, which is very important to me!
pets I take my pets to the Bohicket Veteriinary Clinic for shots and help when they are sick. I also take my puppy litters there to have them examined before I sell them. I never have to wait long to get an appointment and when I get there I don't have a long wait to be seen. If my dog or cat is sick they always work you in that same day. They are kind, considerate and love animals. Wonderful people there.
