Challenging Class, Attentive Instructors – I've practiced Bikram at various places over the years. This is a good studio, the instructors are attentive and knowledgeable, without being too "new age. " The new flatiron studio is nice, and the classes are not over stuffed. I would recommend this studio for anyone interested in the exercise and challenge aspect of Bikram.

NYC Worse Yoga Studio – Judgemental instructors that go completely against what Yoga is about! I would not practice in this studio even if they pay me to do so!

Best yoga studios in New York – Bikram NYC provides proficient and altruistic yoga instructors that are available to teach in 4 different locations every 2 hours starting at like 6 am - so there is a time, a place, and an instructor for everyone. Instructors are human and therefore have individual personalities, so to expect that you will like every instructor equally is probably not realistic but there is no group of instructors more concerned for the well-being of others anywhere in Manhattan. Regular members reflect the o... read more

Amazing, most of the time – I had never done yoga before and was extremely skeptical about the benefits. My first class at Bikram was the first-timers class and it was wonderful. The instructor was very encouraging and informative, as well as truly calming. I loved it instantly and decided to go back. My second class, however, was less than great. The instructor knew it was my second time and was rude about my lack of skill. She told me I "had a lot to live up to" at the beginning of the class and continued to pick on me thr... read more

Great yoga for anyone willing to challenge themselves. The review below about "disgusting" men wearing skimpy shorts is just too ridiculous for words..its a 105 degrees in the room, they are supposed to wear what exactly? Yoga is not really the place for puritan values.. Overall, depending on the instrucutor, of course..it's an amazing experience.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLASS – I HAPPENED TO BE WALKING BEHIND THE TEACHER UP TO THE CENTER AND AFTER EXCHANING, "HELLOS" SHE LET THE CENTER DOOR SLAM IN MY FACE. SHE THEN INSISTED THAT I RENT 2 MORE TOWELS,WATER, THEN TOLD THE REST OF THE CLASS THAT IF THEY NEED TO EXCUSE THEMSELVES BEFORE CLASS END THAT THEY ARE NOT TO RETURN. I WAS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE CLASS SINGLED OUT AS THE NEW PERSON. I WAS DISGUSTED THAT SEVERAL OF THE MALE STUDENTS DID NOT WEAR SHIRTS AND ONLY SKIMPY BOTTOMS. THE ONLY MUSCLE SORNESS I HAD THE FOLL... read more

Three flights up from Fifth Avenue is the nicest of this hot Hatha chain's Manhattan studios. – The Scene The front desk with its indirect lighting and its small fountain of cascading water assures a subdued atmosphere that focuses you even before class begins. Both changing facilities (with coat hooks, small lockers and wall benches; three showers for the ladies, two for the men) ensure your sharpened state can continue after the 90-minute class. In between, friendly banter stops at the studio doors. Your concentration is f... read more

I love this studio! – This is a fantastic place to do yoga. The staff is always friendly, the classes are hot and wonderful. I'd never done Bikram yoga until a friend brought me to class, and ever since then, I've been hooked! The studio has a wonderful, supportive atmosphere. Tricia's classes are especially good. And the students are also super-friendly - no attitude whatsoever.

Run! Run Away! – I recently attended one of their classes and be careful with this type of "yoga" if you can call it that. The instructor was a raving lunatic who yelled at the class with such a snotty attitude that I almost left. I would never go there again. It was God AWFUL. And quite honsetly this practice can be very dangerous, not to mention it costs $20/ class- very high for a yoga class even by this city's standards.
