went for strawberry shortcake, which is amazing! We also had pizza and it's ok, not great. I don't care for the pizza sauce; too much oregano for my taste but I do like the crust. Fresh-squeezed lemonade is too sweet for my taste as I prefer a bit of a "bite" to my lemonade.
Good service, good wine. Good company. Weather couldn't have been better.

I have been to Boccali's several times and I have to say it is my favorite thing about Ojai. Everything they bring out of the kitchen and past your table makes you wish you had ordered it! We had a pizza this time. Their crust is out of this world; it's substantial, but light and airy, not dense and heavy. The sauce tastes like fresh tomatoes and is delicious. And you cannot leave without having the strawberry shortcake - crumbly cake with a mound of strawberries and a generous topping of whipped cream - heavenly!!
