This realtor insisted that I paint the entire interior of my house "light French grey." He referred me to a painter who turned out to be quite incompetent, and apparently unlicensed. I later learned that it is illegal for realtors to refer clients to unlicensed contractors. The painters switched from flat to satin on the same walls, failed to use drop cloths, did not remove outlet or ventilation covers, and numerous other unprofessional painting errors.
