The rudest people in the furniture business – The first time was Dec 09. My wife and I were just leaving the store after a sizable purchase. I held the door open for a person who was coming in with two cases of soda. As he walk through I expected a thank you. I didn't get one , so I said you are welcome. Lost customer – My mother in law and I stopped by on our tour of furniture stores in the area, looking for recliners for her and a dining room set for me. I also had my toddler in tow, safely contained in a stroller. We didn't even make it all the way through the doors before one of the sales ladies stopped us and told us pretty rudely that the stroller wasn't allowed in the store. Great service, friendly salespeople – My first purchase was a beautiful Hooker bedroom set. I love it and they worked with me on the price. we have purchased 2 Lazboy chairs, since, and are very happy. We're going in today to purchase a queen sleeper after they had a much better price than I found while shopping for the same item in SoCal, and would have to drive to Ontario to pick it up. poor service, not knowledgable about products – I would definitely avoid this store. The sales people couldn't give a darn when we went in and then when we had questions about the products they didn't know anything and kept having to look in a binder, and then they still didn't know. It was hard enough to get someone's attention, but after they "helped" us, we didn't learn anything. Useless.
I will never step foot in Boatman's again. – This is a little long but worth reading if you are pIanning to purchase furniture here. I recently bought a dining room set, 2 complete bedroom sets with new matress. The cost was $7,000.00 There was a question if one bedroom set set would fit or if we would like it on the room. Very slow repair service – I bought a Lazyboy recliner from Boatman's. The sales people were helpful. The furniture was delivered. The problem I am having is with repairing my Lazyboy recliner. It took three weeks for the repair representative to get back in touch with me. Another two weeks for them to look at it and order the parts. Another week to pick up the broken furniture. Now it has been two weeks since I have been without my recliner and no communication as to when to expect it. I tried to call and recieved no answer... read more
No Customer Service Here – With cash in hand, I went to Boatman's because I believe in keeping my money local. I was in the store for about 15 minutes before finding 2 women engaged in personal life chit-chat at the rear of the store. I asked them for help and the heavy set woman could not be bothered with me and was rather rude. She didn't even bother to come out from behind the counter. I left and won't be back.
Great store, huge selection, excellant customer service – I just bought my second piece of furniture from Boatman's and for me they are great. I will continue shopping there for any other furniture needs. They have a huge selection of high quality furniture. and the employees have always been very friendly but not intrusive.
