Dishonesty, poor quality workmanship/control, disorganized, and lack of knowledge describes Boatworks of Alaska. The manager, Rob, went through and listed out what labor would cost. Estimated was $1200. Contract agreement with labor 3 times the original estimate was next give to me to sign before work was to start. Five hours to remove a kicker motor? Unfortunately, we paid a lot of money to get our boat ready for the summer by taking it to Boatworks of Alaska. We get it to Homer, launch the boat and it doesn't start. My Husband opens the cowl up to see what the deal is and holy crap, we have water pouring in. Thank god we didn't go out because the boot that the throttle cable goes through (found this after we pulled the boat out of the water) was ripped so ergo a major leak.
