Bmw of alexandria lied on a VA state inspection when I asked them they said they would reimburse me for the repairs. But never did and wont respond to any emails or phone calls. Terrible customer service.
I left a review on 9/04 but another development has happened, so I'm at the point to where the negligence might be bordering on straight up dishonesty.There was the whole deal about the check engine light appearing before I drove it off the lot and me having to pay 40% of that repair despite it not being on during my test drive. Then them charging the ** and saying no leaks were detected, and then the ** going out within 2 weeks, and another dealership quoting me 4k in repairs after finding there was a leak. Test drove a 2018 ***** xc60. The ** was out but the vehicle hadnt gone through their inspection yet, so I asked the salesman to keep me up on what they found with the **. After inspection I was told no leaks were found anywhere and that they just had to recharge the refrigerant. Confident they did their due diligence, I bought it. The worst services charges i paid for Seat belt replacement, The Seat belt part# **-11-7-469-953 is available on ************ @ 506.46$ but they ordered $710,,, I don't know from where they ordered that expensive May be they order From Moon or Mars , Ridiculously expensive charges of this *** Alexandria services.That's why their rating on BBB web site review is 1.27 ....

On August 1, 2025 My 2010 *** x5 gear selector is stuck in park, and will not changed gears. I had my car towed to Elmhurst BMW to inspect my gear selector. I was informed that the inspection would cost $299. I received a quote to replace the gear selector would cost $3000 plus $1000 for the module and if it's the transmission, another $12,000, absurd. *** of Elmhurst changed my oil last year. During this time, they installed the s**** crooked, and over tightened this, stripping the s**** ***** *******, the service advisor, admitted fault on *** of Elmhurst and said they were just waiting on approval to comp the repair. Now he is saying that "upper management" is saying no, because they cannot confirm they were the last people to work on it. With all the technology in these cars, I feel that you can tell. You and your company should do the right thing and fix your mistake.
