Good care This hostpital is good if you only have a cut or a scrape but anything more severe,I don't know if I would go here,we have had some problems in the past,I would preffer to go somewhere else if at all possible,I'm not saying they are all bad ,but the majority of them don't really know what they are doing. PROS: good care most of the time. CONS: When you have something more serious I would choose somewhere else.
Great Nurses in the ER I had never been inside this hospital until 10/24/07. Unfortunately, it was because my son's girlfriend went into premature labor at 17 weeks while on the interstate going to Savannah. She called her doctor and he advised her to get to this hospital. The baby could not survive but the caring and concern the staff showed to my family was unbelievable. My Hospital Visit I was treated like I was a family member. I could not ask for nicer people.Iwas impressed by the way I was escorted to each lab. In ICU Nurse Sarah was very caring and concerned about my pain or needs. The hospital in my opinion could not be compared to any other I have visited. It is 68 miles from my Home in Adrian but it is worthwhile. James Britt
East Georgia Regional Med Ctr is Great East Georgia Regional Med Ctr is a great hospital. Doctors, nurses and tech people are just fantastic. They have state of the art equipment and treatment of patients is really five stars. I just had a cardiac cath there and they treated me like a king. I live 40 miles south in a town called Pooler and I drive to this hospital for treatment, instead of going to Savannah which is only 15 minutes away.
Teaching Hospital The staff here is very good. The ER gets to you in a reasonable amount of time. The hospital is very clean. If you don't have health insurance they give a discount right off the top. Then let you make payments. Then on top of all that they sent notice stating pay this amount (which was way under what we owed), and your account will be marked as paid in full. You can't beat that.
A for-profit hospital Provides satisfactory care for routine type illnesses. Increasing numbers of specialty physicians. Much turn-over with in nursing department, however, and this is event in the care provided. Facility is imaculate. PROS: Local CONS: Small network of physicians
not good for a hospital East Georgia Regional Medical Center is the only hospital in Statesboro and the main hospital for all the little surronding counties. They use to be a great hospital but they have gone down hill! Dr., nurses and staff just do not care like they use to and forget about even bothering going to the emergency room. If you can not get me to a better hospital just leave me be.
Just OK East Georgia Regional Medical CEnter is just ok in my opionion. THe hospital is always clean and looks very nice but there has been a lot of turn overs in the last year or so. Some of the nurses are very good however not many are actual RNs.
If you can If you have the time to make it to St. Louis, go there. If you have a life-threating situtation, don't to to any hospital in this town. If you have a wound that needs patching, or a headache that needs some serious medicene, you can go here. PROS: can put on band-aids CONS: not a good hospital for saving lives in serious situations
