Total Rip Offs Don't go here unless you want them to charge you a fortune to fix something that is not the problem and then try to cover their mistake by blaming you that you didn't explain the correct problem to them. I took the car in for engine vibration and noise and $1300 later with new plugs, points, tires plus other stuff, coils, etc... the car comes back with same vibration and noise. It turned out that all the car really needed was new engine mounts and now they want another $850. Forget it...I'm taking my business ... read more
Reassurance I have had my cars serviced at Johns' Place for many years.They have serviced the basic needs from struts and routers to alignment and balancing tires, keeping my cars; 3 to 8 years old, in good running order. There are no surprises after their initial evaluation. The Owner has always been available to discuss the work order. Besides no stress before or after, they maintain a comfortable, stocked, and very clean waiting room, reflecting their belief in accommodating the customer.
Rip-Off With A Smile Maybe it's the North Shore thing, but these guys are really nice as they charge way, way too much for any little thing. If your car has amajor problem, don't go here. I hear they do good work, but if you are spending what they are charging, you probably have someone pump your gas for you as well and can't find the hood release. PROS: Nice CONS: Rip Off's
