A scam We arrived at the hospital “ Blue Pearl “ at 4pm , our doc called ahead , sent records … they took 14 year old Callie back to be “examined” … they had a system , they called people back and put them in exam rooms quickly. I’m very disgusted with the incompetence and rudeness I experienced at Blue Pearl recently. My dog has been going to Blue Pearl on Sonterra in San Antonio, Texas, since 2011 for epilepsy. His neurologist was Dr. Wolfe at Blue Pearl. His seizures have been managed mainly with his daily seizure medication, 1500 mg leviteracetum extended release and 200 mg zonisamide twice a day for years—since 2011. These people are overpriced and are not all that top notch! Veterinarians now a days are strictly a bout money! Sad they can’t be more empathetic as well. My father was a successful Veterinarian and the best Surgeon in the State of Mo. and then some. They sure don’t make them like they used too.

For Brandy! One of the most important decisions is where to take your family when an emergency arrives. I'm 62 and have had many many pets, animals and horses in my lifetime. The staff and veterinarians at this hospital are incredibly caring! Treatment and concern for pet patients and families is extraordinary! Look no further for your pet’s care.
I do not recommend this practice due to a lack of communication and appropriate follow up appts post surgery. We had taken an 8 month old pup by recommendation to the Specialty Dept for an eye surgery due to an entropic eye lid and paid several thousand dollars for the procedure. Because they were so busy they couldn’t complete a post surgery follow up appt for 30 days. (I was told by a staff person they are double and triple booking appts). I had used Blue Pearl a few times in the past for some appointments for my dog with their Cardiologist but had a separate every day vet for everything else. My elderly dog had many medical conditions and had stopped eating & drinking for days.
