We had a horrible first experience at Blue Pearl in Seattle with a nine week old puppy. My daughter waited from 11 am until 9 pm after bringing in the puppy for lethargic behavior, vomiting etc. WE finally asked for subcutaneous fluids and for him to be fed, then were sent home with a bill over $1000.00 and instructions to return for an ultrasound the next morning. As he felt a bit better, we cancelled the ultrasound & put him on a chicken and rice diet short term. They later phoned saying from stool sample results that... read more

just now-Edit HORRIBLE experience for a 6 times more price than our primary vet! My wife and I took our 14yr dog to with neck and back issues to get a second opinion at VSCD. The vet was nice, but in testing our dogs range of motion she put her in significantly more pain by cranking her neck as far as she could. She is still recovering 2 days later. Then we were charged without being given an itemized receipt, after looking at the bill we were charged $181 (more than 5 times what our primary vet charges) and $164 for a m... read more

I got so angry...they hold you hostage with the almighty $. They wanted $5000.00 just to watch my gal overnight, and another &5000.00 for surgery. The tech knew it was outrageous for she kept her thumb over the amount. Total lack of compassion and total corporate medicine. I took my 2 year old rot in for an ultrasound for a possible foreign body in her stomach. She had been sick for three days with vomiting...hadn’t eaten. Long story short she was already in shock while she was there...very cold...AND THEY DIDN'T CATCH IT so... read more

Two years after my dog was treated at the hospital, I get a notice from a collection agency that I owe them money. No invoices, emails, or phone calls to let me know, after I gave them my credit card when I brought home my dog to settle my bill. This is harassment. The treatment at the hospital was fine. I had no complaints there, but never in my life have I had an experience like this.

We took our sweet dog, Luke, in today because of two lumps that formed quickly. We were very very concerned as he wouldn't even climb stairs. They were wonderful at reassuring us that it wasn't life threatening today, and to save money, we could simply take him to our family vet tomorrow (Monday) to get the lumps tested. Peace of mind and no huge bill! They really care!

Started out as a good experience- My dog had a tumor on her chest that was removed. Prior to operating was supposedly examined head to toe for any spread of cancer- results said she was clear. (Took 7 phone calls to get the pathology results!!!) 3 weeks after my dogs surgery, she collapsed. I took her back. They said she had a heart tumor. She was not able to be stabilized. I put her to sleep. Why in the world, would they not detect that prior to surgery? What a waste. It was sad and frustrating trying to get phone calls an... read more

My cat went for an I 131 treatment and had to board for 3 nights. She is on medication for a chronic condition and developed a new condition prior to her visit. The staff was informed of her medical history and medication routine. Her recent records were sent to the hospital as well. After picking her up, I learned she had not been given any of her medication. Once this was discovered, I was not given a reason why and she came home in worse condition than when I left her. I left 2 phone messages and sent 2 emails asking for ... read more
