No matter what, do not take your pet to Blue Pearl. I received a diagnosis and was told that surgery and biopsies were necessary for my pet's wellbeing. After $6200 worth of surgery, the diagnosis was incorrect, and surgery was unnecessary. Blue Pearl accepts zero responsibility in this matter, despite reviewing it with the Medical Director and other management members. I am thankful that my pet has recovered from the experience of care from this for-profit facility.
The clinic on 5th avenue talked me into euthanizing my cat who had cancer last night, but mentioned sepsis. afterwards i did some research and realized what happened was my cat was in septic shock because of the sardines i had given her the day before. they said she was dying from cancer causes, but it was sepsis. Two years after my dog was treated at the hospital, I get a notice from a collection agency that I owe them money. No invoices, emails, or phone calls to let me know, after I gave them my credit card when I brought home my dog to settle my bill. This is harassment. The treatment at the hospital was fine. I had no complaints there, but never in my life have I had an experience like this.
