Dr Alex Rameriz and the Blue Pearl front desk staff were really kind and showed such a level of humanity to my family in our time of need. It takes a special person to both explain the complicating facts of veterinary medicine while still holding space for grief. Dr Rameriz did both and we are immensely grateful for him. I am writing to formally express my deep concern and disappointment with the level of care my dog, a black lab mix, received during a recent emergency visit to your facility.Upon arrival, my dog was suffering from a burst tumor and a high fever. We had to bring our older cat in to the Abernathy Rd. Sandy Springs 24-hour location for an emergency late one night last month, and the staff was great from the front desk to the treating vet. Dr. Francesco Leverone was extremely compassionate and explained everything in a common-sense manner. He gave us as much time as we needed to make a decision and to be with our pet at that time. They are evil, they will charge you five times be charged for the same services in human. For example I recently had an MRI myself, and it was $650. Blue pearl refuse to tell me anything about the health of my dog unless I paid them $5,000 for an mri, and then had to wait a week and a half for results. And even then we had to drag it out of them. I went 20 miles outside of Atlanta and went into a tractor supply store looking for veterinarian recommendations, and they gave me wonderful ones. The country vet's where a third o... read more

These people are overpriced and are not all that top notch! Veterinarians now a days are strictly a bout money! Sad they can’t be more empathetic as well. My father was a successful Veterinarian and the best Surgeon in the State of Mo. and then some. They sure don’t make them like they used too.

So, DO NOT ever trust Blue Pearl "emergency" vet care! My 2 1/2 yr old GSD came down with bloat last night about 7. Almost every vet in the area refers you to these clowns. I called and they informed me they were closing at 10 and taking no new animals. I ended up in Columbia at CVet....wonderful, very professional people. They took him immediately into surgery and he is recovering. Bloat is a life threatening issue and every handler/breeder I talked to today said they had never heard of a emergency vet turning away a ... read more

If I could give Blue Pearl 0 stars, then I would. Unfortunately Birdeye requires that I at least give them one. My dog was referred to Blue Pearl for overnight monitoring with a severe pneumonia. During the course of his stay, a veterinary technician negligently entered his weight as pounds when it should have been kilograms. Accordingly, the medicine they gave my dog was for a dog significantly larger than him. It caused him to have a seizure.
