I think the Bluemont is the best hotel in Manhattan. Admittedly, my interactions with some of the front desk personnel haven't been the best - typically when I'm coming in during the midnight shift - but honestly, the lounge staff makes up for it. You know the line from Piano Man, about John at the bar? Real life, that dudes name is Julian. I had a wonderful experience thanks to the housekeeping manager during my stay. I believe her name is Alex. She went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and handled my request with genuine care and professionalism. I was locked out of my room and my keys were no where to be found and not only did she let me in my room, but she went downstairs to get my a new set! Amazing service
I will say. I have stayed at a lot of hotels. I have had the privilege of staying at a Four Season, The Ritz-Carlton, and the Bluemont Hotel has the same customer service! I stayed for 6 nights. The fact that I had no expectations besides a good night sleep, was so amazing! The staff in a short amount of time, got to know my name and called me by my first name! The location is perfect. One of the cleanest nicest places I have ever stayed... Breakfast was average don't count on anything super delicious.
