RecommendedNice variety of options. we had a table next to the river...beautiful view. Pulled pork and Beef briscuit sandwiches were delicious and filled. French fries were fat and crispy . Bloody Mary's were perfect. Would definitely stop again when we are in the area .
We love this restaurant. We love the owner's, Skip and Lynn. They have made the most out of the covid situation. The outdoor seating is awesome. Oh, and the food and pizza are awesome!
Paid $18.02 to eat with the cheapest plastic ware and the cheapest (what I call penny) paper plates. I had one meal and a glass of tea. Meal was $15....let me say that again....$15!!!!I also had tea in a paper cup for $2 (which I was okay with). The pic below is how it was served. I think the prices should reflect the fact you are eating on a paper plate with plastic silverware as opposed to real silverware and an actual plate. At best this meal should have been about $8....maybe $10 but certainly NOT $15+
our first AND last meal at this place. whitefish sandwich too greasy and fell apart. salad served on a single ply cheap paper plate. it's our 33 yr anniversary, we drove up here from Grayling, what a disappointment.
Our server was gracious and kind. The food was tasty and as ordered, and the environment was sublime.

I like the Bird because it’s close to home and all my friends are there. But if the food weren’t also good, forget it!❗️
Outside of grumpy Gus joel as the bartender, this place is alright. Love me a good hole in the wall bar. Forest is the bartender to have. But, this is About the only place to sit and have a drink, most all other places close way before. Haven’t had any food but hear the breakfast at the adjoining place is good from the locals. Definitely don’t go to the fig for breakfast. Feel like that’s an important point to put in here for tourists.
