Best in C'Ville by far. These guys live their own brand—they compete hard, are uncompromising in their standards for repairs and mechanical work, and give back to the community in a big way. Leading by example. Real deal shop.
We stopped off here the other day looking for recommendations for a ride. They were extremely competent, helpful, highlighted some local options and gave us a map. The ride they suggested was gorgeous. I highly recommend them if you are in the C'ville area.
I've had some really amazing bike mechanics and I've experienced not so great mechanics. Blue Wheel was top knotch! They got my bike working like brand new. Super thorough, friendly, retaped my handle bars, and suggested lowering my bike seat for comfort and performance. I felt very comfortable asking questions. I walked out 100% satisfied. Bought a specialized bike and the staff made sure it really fit my size and were extremely patient and I never felt rushed trying out the different models. These guys truly are passionate about their bikes! Even though I was just looking for a commuting bike, but because I was admiring the racing road bikes he encouraged me to just give one a ride just let me feel how awesome of a machine it is. Can't recommend these guys enough or specialized bikes.
