I had the thimble at the head of my jib pull out during a high wind day out on Lake Michigan. I brought the jib to Bluewater Sail Loft on a Tuesday morning and discussed the repair with McCord. I live about and hours drive from Traverse City and on my way back home I got a call from McCord who had already looked more closely at the jib and had some questions and suggestions on how to proceed. After building a perfect sprit sail from the plans for my 14' Melonseed catboat I was having problems tuning the rig. The various tensions required to shape the sail correctly was escaping me and it was not pretty. McCort had me bring in the boat and rig it in his loft. Instead of a recut he and his crew were able to point out some fairly straight forward corrections which have solved the issues.
