My favorite vet for twelve years The late Dr. Michael List and his staff provided the highest care for our seven cats and our dog over the years. When he passed away in 2005, we were concerned about veterinary care for our animals (who are cherished family members to us and not merely "pets"). Caring, Humane Professionals Blue Sky is amazing, and I will never take my animals anywhere else as long as we're in Bloomington. My cat Lily had an intense, very expensive treatment in Indy (Radiocat) for a thyroid condition, diagnosed by another local clinic. Even after the treatment, she continued to avoid food, vomit, and lose weight at an alarming rate. The clinic that diagnosed her gave her fluids and a B-12 injection. Respect for me and my pet Blue Sky is in my opinion the best vet in town. The staff and doctors are amazing and willing to go above and beyond anywhere else I've been. They truly care about my dog and that peace of mind that they provided me with helped me through a very tough time. I recommend this vet to anyone who loves their pet.
Downright Unethical Blue Sky's office practices, particularly their policy of not providing patients with prescriptions in order to buy their pet medications online, is flagrant price-gouging. This policy forces all pet owners who bring their pets to Blue Sky to buy their pet medications from Blue Sky ONLY, and at an enormous markup. For example, Blue Sky charges $20 per dose for Comfortis, a flea and tick preventative. This is over 33% more expensive than the 1800PetMeds price. never returned to again Our cat (Lili) had a bad reaction to a shot at Blue Sky. We would call them consistently reporting her behavior and they kept assuring us that her behavior was normal for cats who recently had shots. They gave us behaviors to look out for (e.g. vomitting) that she did not have. They made us feel silly and over protective for worrying so much. Incompetent I brought my puppy in for her first round of shots and a general checkup. After looking at the white spots on my black and tan coonhound, the head vet remarked that he "wasn't worried, that's just her white fur coming in." A week later, and her skin infection has now spread over most of her body. She's not growing hair at all, she's losing it. I'm so frustrated that I took this idiot's advice and now I have to find a new vet to throw more $$$ at cause this moron messed up.
The animals come first I've been taking my animals to Blue Sky for almost 20 years. While like many others, I miss Michael dearly since his passing, the clinic has continued to provide excellent care to my cat. I feel I can trust Lynne's judgment completely. I have to spend much of my time overseas, and this makes it all the more important that I have care for my cat that I can depend upon. I really can't imagine seeking vet care anywhere else.
