Staff not very friendly and almost seemed annoyed (hostess & waitress), but the gentleman that brought our food was very polite and friendly.
We showed up at about 12:30 on Friday February 27th. I had to track down the waitress. I asked if we could have a table outside, and the waitress gave me a cursory, unfriendly confirmation. We sat down, a couple of minutes later this same obviously unhappy older blond waitress came by, threw a couple of menus on a dirty table, and said something about the fryer not working and left. We felt a super bad vibe from the place and especially from the waitress. We got up and left, and will never be back.
After a disappointing experience last year, I swore I wouldn't return. However, at my wife’s insistence, we decided to give them a second chance for the new year—and I’m so glad we did! They completely redeemed themselves. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our meal. We’ve always loved the food here for its consistency, and it feels great to officially have our favorite Morro Bay spot back on the list. Thank you for the excellent service!
Winona answered the phone and was so welcoming and friendly even though she was the only waitress there today. She was so attentive and quick and kind and she made sure to go out of her way for me. The clam chowder was excellent, beautiful, and hit the spot on a rainy day.
We stopped in here for a glass of wine while strolling along the Embarcadero in Morro Bay. Lots of cute shops. Fun to look at the boats on the Bay and scenery while sitting on the back deck. We had good service but noticed they were short staffed as some guests seemed to be getting impatient. Overall, good experience & great stop along the way while visiting the area.
