They called my son's girlfriend to tell her the engagement ring was ready to be picked up. They were supposed to have deleted her contact information and only called him. So much for a surprise proposal. When told that they ruined the surprise, they offered little sympathy and zero compensation. Very disappointing experience.
Not only did I get my dream engagement ring. (They helped my now husband who had no idea what he was doing.) But they also found an incredibly similar wedding ring that my husband lost while gardening. They work with customers and the price wasn’t bad.
I chose Blue River because of strong recommendations from family members, but my experience was disappointing. Communication was inconsistent, and I often felt like I was managing the process rather than being guided through it. After specifically requesting a particular diamond cut by email, I received a response referencing a completely different cut and was later told they were “almost identical.” For such an important purchase, I expected a much higher level of attention to detail and customer service.
Can’t say enough good things about Blue River! Marge and the whole team in Gloucester made the experience fun and memorable. Patient, flexible, genuine, and very approachable. Highly recommend
