I love their vegetarian and vegan options. Very glad to have this type of venu in Lexington! Reminds me of the Tacoma Cafe in Tacoma Park, MD and the Berwyn Heights Cafe in College Park.

Ignore the hateful politically-inspired comments on here. As members of the W&L community, my spouse and I have eaten many times at the Blue Phoenix. Great menu, even if you're not a vegetarian (like me). My faves are the Goddess Grilled Cheese, California Wrap, and the Strawberry-Rhubarb Shortbread. You can also create your own bowl with their selection of veggies, proteins, and dressings. The atmosphere is very relaxing and laid back. Blue Phoenix has succeeded in making healthy meals that are creative AND delicious!
Appears to be a very biased restaurant with intolerant views especially if you don't support their ideals.
The owners need an attitude adjustment. Apparently, some Lexington business owners seem to be only welcoming to those who are in synch with their own political beliefs, and do not have an issue with the mistreatment of others who don't tow their line. Why spend one's hard earned cash with openly hostile businesses? I would have preferred leaving a comment without choosing a star rating, but that is not a possible option, so 1 star it is.

Blue Phoenix is our favorite lunch spot in Lexington - we've been loyal customers for years! My favorite dish is the Phoenix Salad with red pepper vinaigrette. My kids love the Wallace and Gromit plate and my husband loves the "build a bowl." I love the friendliness of the staff - they always greet me with a smile and say, "Hi Sarah! How are you today?"
