Great rates. Renovations look nice. Doors have the security card lock and deadbolt. WIFI didn't work. Not sure why. Wasn't any loud people staying here while I was in. Fantastic deal for a clean room. I will be back. This is exactly where you want to be in South Lake Tahoe on a budget trip!
Everything you need is exactly where it should be, right down to hooks behind the bathroom door for towels or robe. And it is clean, spacious, comfortable and in a good location. Easy to walk to the casinos, the gondola, the beach.
Clean good size room. Excellent price for weekend. Very nice staff. They actually saw the "special request" for a vegan breakfast I put in when booking the room, and hooked me up! I've paid over a grand for air fair and had my vegan request ignored.Great location for snowboarding at Heavenly and only one block from the first big casino, the one with the Hard Rock Cafe in it. I don't gamble but the clubs and bars in the casinos are sweet, Club Opel!
Price was why I booked this hotel in the first place which is what I do when I go skiing for the weekend in Tahoe, I always keep a sleeping bag and pillow in the car in case the bed sheets are particularly disgusting having experienced the most worst dumps in South Lake. This place has obviously been remodeled and the bed to plumbing/bathroom, along with associated fixtures, were newer, working, clean, and orderly. Nothing fancy but it fit the bill. Great for the price. Close to everything in South Lake. Beach as well. Friendly staff and management. Views of the mountain from our room.
I've stayed in many hotels and motels in South Lake Tahoe, so I have something to compare this motel with. What's good about this one: outstanding location:1min from Harvey's casino,5 min from Heavenly Village,5 min from the lake. (Walking !). It's clean and very well organized:you'll have a refrigerator, coffeemaker and a toaster oven. It's very good to have all these, providing that within 7min of walking distance you'll find a good supermarket Raley's. This lodge came up on my phone at a very reasonable rate for 1 night. The front desk staff was quick with check in and very friendly. He suggested some great local activities as this was my first trip to Tahoe. My room was great when I walked in. New carpet, new bedspread, clean bathroom. I liked it so much I actually stayed a second night.
