Today we spent a bit of our time at a new-to-us store in Ocean Beach, Blue Dot Refill. What an awesome little store! If you care about doing your part to "save the Earth," I encourage you to save a few of the bottles you would normally toss in the recycle bin, and reuse them instead. Take them here, and they will be weighed and refilled with the eco-friendly product of your choosing, and then weighed again. You are charged by the ounce. This is a great store. Really nice quality products with the added advantage of being able to fill your own containers and cut down on plastics.
I really love this! Products and friendly service is top notch. Takes a little while to have things filled but we should all learn to not be in a rush all the time :) However your hours aren't so great. For the working woman, we are expected to rush over after work before you close? I have been working customer service my entire life. I just don't get it. If you don't want to open or come to work early, you should be open later. I feel like most retail stores are open until at least 8pm. Since you open so late anyhow one per... read more

Thanks Destiny Neely and your $.02-- priceless! We are now open until 8:00PM Monday - Friday. Our hours have been based more on the Finance Department than the Customer Service Department. We hope our new expanded hours help.
What a great concept! The staff is very friendly and I enjoy learning about the different products they have every time I visit their store in Ocean Beach. I especially like their "Drop & Shop" service--Makes refilling my bottles more convenient when I'm busy :)

I was in Blue Dot yesterday and I had the most beautiful shopping experience! I was in OB to go to People's & was very excited to see the Blue Dot open, as well... Luckily I was prepared and now I have all my Earth friendly cleaning needs taken care of &even a heartfelt hug on my way... To shop at the co-op... It is a very long trip for me to come from Imperial Beach using the public transit yet SO worth it
